Lifelines for Little Hearts is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children who have experienced the profound loss of a parent or guardian to addiction. We understand the emotional, psychological, and practical challenges these children face and are committed to providing them with the resources they need to heal, grow, and thrive.
Our mission is to create a safe and nurturing environment for children to process their grief through access to therapeutic services, including counseling, group support, and creative outlets like art and play therapy. We also provide resources that address their immediate needs, such as mentorship programs, educational support, and community connections to ensure they feel cared for and empowered.
At Lifelines for Little Hearts, we believe no child should navigate the loss of a loved one alone. By fostering resilience and hope, we strive to break the cycle of addiction’s impact and help these children envision a future filled with possibilities. Together, we can make a difference—one little heart at a time.
Lifelines for Little Hearts has partnered with multiple adolescent facilities across the United States to bring either virtual or in person therapeutic services to those who cannot afford and/or don't have access to these life saving tools.
We strive to address the emotional repercussions of loss in adolescents.
To change the lives of children who suffered such a great loss.
Lifelines for Little Hearts was born from an unimaginable tragedy and a profound determination to create change. In September 2024, the life of Alyssa Harbina was tragically cut short due to addiction, leaving behind her 7-year-old daughter, Rowan. For Rowan, this loss was devastating—she had now lost both of her parents to the same relentless disease.
Alyssa's death deeply impacted so many people including Alexandra Feloni, Alyssa's best friend and Rowan's godmother, and a long-time advocate for families affected by addiction. Witnessing Rowan's pain and uncertainty, Alexandra channeled her grief into action. She founded Lifelines for Little Hearts to honor Alyssa's memory, support children like Rowan, and raise awareness about the far-reaching effects of addiction on families. The organization is dedicated to providing care, resources, and hope for children left behind, empowering them to build brighter futures not defined by their losses.
