Lifelines for Little Hearts was born from an unimaginable tragedy and a profound determination to create change. In September 2024, the life of Alyssa Harbina was tragically cut short due to addiction, leaving behind her 7-year-old daughter, Rowan. For Rowan, this loss was devastating—she had now lost both of her parents to the same relentless disease.

Alyssa’s death deeply impacted so many people including Alexandra Feloni, Alyssa’s best friend and Rowan’s godmother, and a long-time advocate for families affected by addiction. Witnessing Rowan’s pain and uncertainty, Alexandra channeled her grief into action. She founded Lifelines for Little Hearts to honor Alyssa’s memory, support children like Rowan, and raise awareness about the far-reaching effects of addiction on families. The organization is dedicated to providing care, resources, and hope for children left behind, empowering them to build brighter futures not defined by their losses.

Lifelines for Little Hearts was founded after focusing on the fact that children are affected by addiction every day, and not everyone has the resources to ensure that they can deal with the effects and emotional damage that it can cause. Lifelines for Little Hearts strives to help every child they can who has been affected by this terrible disease, whether they are in the system, have lost a parent or parents, and don’t have the resources, or for educational purposes to ensure they are guided in the right direction as they grow up.
